Just heard these guys for the first time the other day. Giving TVOTR a serious run for their money.

You guys, I’ve had this tune in my head for almost a month now and had no clue what it was called or who it was by. What is that song in every stupid jungle-related comedy of the 90s?? I Youtubed an embarrassing collection of trailers including Jungle 2 Jungle, Ace Venture: When Nature Calls and George of the Jungle in hopes of tracing it back to a soundtrack. I loudly hummed and made trumpet-farting sounds to many people in my life, begging them for recognition.

Either out of cluelessness or cruelty, my brother told me he was pretty sure it was called “Stop the Monkey.” I couldn’t find anything online about it, but that’s what I sang under my breath for a full week like a giant asshole. After another one of my sad, misguided renditions, my trusted friend Katie finally said, “Um, I think it’s called ‘Jungle Boogie.’”

And she was right, it is called “Jungle Boogie.” NOT FUCKING “STOP THE MONKEY.”
